Edinburgh auction house Lyon & Turnbull is holding a one-off Prints & Multiples auction at its Connaught Street gallery in London, with bidding live online and in-situ from 10:00 on 26th March. Highlights include work by Pablo Picasso, Sir Howard Hodgkin, Harland Miller and Banksy, together with a small collection of important lithographic work by Robert Bevan, a group of works by Paula Rego, given as gifts to her close friend, artist Colette Morey de Morand. Also on sale are two sets of Lanark prints by beloved Scottish artist and author Alasdair Gray, plus photography with work by Lee Miller, Bjorn Persson Ofer Wolberger and Bert Hardy, whose work is pictured.

The following week, on 2nd April, the Contemporary Art sale is planned for its Broughton Place showrooms in Edinburgh – containing, for the first time, some of John Byrne’s early faux-naïf ‘Patrick’ era pieces from Father Tom Jamieson’s private collection – Byrne’s local Renfrew priest.
Work by Alberto, Leon and Jack Morrocco features, with collage, print and sculpture by Eduardo Paolozzi, Joan Eardley’s friend and protégée, Lil Neilson, plus work by the late Jack Vettriano. Altogether spanning post-war to the present, in media from oil to print, from realism to abstraction, the sale is a true ‘something for everyone’.
