MY DOG AND OTHER VIPs is an exhibition of original art by Francis Macdonald. Drummer with band Teenage Fanclub, and a film and tv composer, Francis has been creating visual art for three years, and uses pencil, ink, charcoal and oil pastel, drawing every day and sharing his work online.

He says, ‘I take inspiration from all sorts of people – Quentin Blake, Willie Sutherland, Rembrandt… and Scottish Colourist J D Fergusson, who encouraged burgeoning artists to “never correct a sketch, just make another.” ‘

This exhibition marks his return to Dunfermline with a new exhibition featuring an eclectic range of portraits, including Bob Dylan, Michael Marra, Gypsy Rose Lee and Kathy ‘Nora Batty’ Staff, still-lifes and studies of his pet dog Sita (pictured), who was rescued from the streets of Romania in 2020.

Entry to the exhibition is free, and, naturally, dogs are welcome.
