Edinburgh’s Morningside Gallery was established in 2003 and specialises in contemporary Scottish art, with a focus on painting and ceramics, and features varied solo and mixed artist exhibitions, alongside regular meet-the-artist events and virtual 3D Tours. The Gallery represents a number of artists all year-round, whose work can be viewed online or in its gallery space.
Currently exhibiting is Scottish painter Stuart Buchanan (until 22nd March). Born in Glasgow in 1970, Stuart studied Fine Art Drawing and Painting at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1992, and going on to establish himself as a leading name in contemporary Scottish art with his meditative, colourful and richly-textured landscapes.
A mixed Spring Exhibition (until 29th March) features a new paintings by Steven Lindsay, Francis Boag, Simon Laurie, Ann Oram, Lesley McLaren, Jane Askey, Joyce Gunn Cairns, Mary Davidson, Euan McGregor, Andy Cross, Kate Bentley and Peter Wileman, whose work is pictured below.
