Tatha Gallery in Newport-on-Tay’s is showing two concurrent exhibitions: Laura Finlayson: Vast Horizons stems from an invitation last year for the gallery to offer an award at Leith School of Art. Captivated by Laura Finlayson’s atmospheric paintings of vast Scottish skies and shorelines, Laura was offered the award and the resulting work is now on show.
Astrid Leeson: Reflected in Time has its origins in Edinburgh RSA exhibition last year: her piece Sheep Mark was an immediate hit with the gallery, and Astrid was awarded a prize, as the gallery puts it, for ‘…her bold brushwork, delightful passages of paint and her innate sense of colour…’ and now Tatha is showing her work for all to enjoy.
