The National Galleries of Scotland’s ARTIST ROOMS displays allow visitors to discover some of the biggest names in modern and contemporary art at its Modern One space.
A new series of the national touring collection, cared for jointly by the National Galleries of Scotland and London’s Tate, comprises powerful internationally-renowned works such as Louise Bourgeois‘ 3 metre-high Spider, Helen Chadwick‘s Piss Flowers and portraits by Robert Mapplethorpe – reflecting these artists’ distinctive and diverse approaches to self-expression, identity, and the complexity of our inner lives.

These ARTIST ROOMS presentations are the starting point for a further series of new displays across Modern One, showcasing works from the nation’s magnificent collection, with paintings, drawings, prints and photography by international artists such as Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Sarah Lucas, Jasleen Kaur, Edvard Munch, Lee Miller and many more, with something for everyone.

Admission to the exhibition is free.
